Will this clear my brain fog?

I should know better than to go complaining about my lack of detox symptoms and wishing for more to demonstrate…

You get what you focus on

Yep! And sometimes in spades!

So I could focus on how great I’m feeling already and how detoxing is simply a joy, but I can’t help thinking it would make for rather boring blogging. Also it might not be that useful as it’s probably not what most people experience. Most people get some pretty clear signals that they’re detoxing.

Like aches, pains and muscle tightness. Mine came in the form of lower back pain bad enough that I couldn’t sleep properly last night and ended up getting up at 5.30am to go for a walk.

I’ve mentioned this back pain a couple of times but wasn’t sure if it was actually anything to do with the detox – I’m sure now!

I’m still researching this one, but it seems that lower back pain can be a product of detoxing. Not directly, in my case, but being caused by tight hamstrings. I need to do some experimenting and exercising, but I seem to be on to something and I’ll write more about it tomorrow.

Clearing brain fogBrain fog!

Other than back pain and the occasional cheese craving, the only other thing I’m noticing is a general brain fog. Not necessarily a symptom of detoxing, but quite possibly a sign that I’m not getting enough calories. Given that one of my goals in doing this detox is increased clarity, I need to get this one sorted!

I never count calories so I don’t really know; not eating enough has never been an issue for me! But I’ll make a concerted effort to increase my intake over the next 12-24 hours and see if there’s an improvement. Brain fog is not an option, eating more is!

Meanwhile, I’m hoping for a decent night’s sleep tonight, so I’m off to do some stretching exercises!

What I ate today

Smoothie – 2 whole eggs, banana, berries, spirulina, water

– I think avocado and prawns is a bit of a cliche, but this combination was delicious – not need for cocktail sauce here!
Tomatoes + Olives
Olive oil + smoked paprika

– Another triumph – my tikkas and kormas usually have a bucket of cream and yoghurt added, but this was quite creamily scrumptious with not a dairy product in sight!
Chicken Tikka Masala
(chicken, mushrooms, onion, garlic, ginger, banana, coconut milk, tomato puree, spice paste)
Cucumber, tomato and onion in lime juice

1st Supper
Raisins and apricots – for the brain fog shifting calories!

Just water – bottled spring water, lots of it

All for now!
IanB has the brain fog!
